Investment firm Highland Capital Management has purchased Dallas’ tallest building outside of downtown.

Paramenter Realty Partners sold Cityplace Tower to Highland for an undisclosed amount. Dallas-based Highland now plans to add retail space, restaurants and tenant amenities to the 42-story, 1.35 million-square-foot tower, located at 2711 N. Haskell Ave.

“The iconic nature of Cityplace Tower drew us to the property,” James Dondero, Highland’s co-founder and president, said in a prepared statement. “We saw the opportunity to make a mark in the vibrant Uptown submarket.”

NexBank Realty Advisors will manage the property and oversee leasing activity. Grant Sumner, Chuck Sellers and Taylor Lynch with Avison Young will be the property’s exclusive leasing agents…
